Click here to join. Once you've chosen a member name and password, you can add and update your gigs online! Back to Top Q. How do I submit a graphic of my band / venue to Giglist.com? A. You can e-mail it to us, post it, or tell us where to find it on the world-wide-web. To e-mail us a graphic, please make sure it's not too big (about 25k max) - if you must send a larger file, please contact us first to ask for help. If you want to send us a photo or logo through the post - please contact us for the address. If you would prefer to simply tell us where to find the graphic, please make sure you provide the full URL (address) of the graphic, including the file-name. Back to Top Q. How many gigs can I list on Giglist.com? A. As many as you are playing! Giglist.com is intended to be a useful information service for anyone interested in 'local' live music ('local' being to where you are!). So, if you're playing a gig and you want people to know about it, get it listed on Giglist.com!!! Back to Top Q. Is it really FREE to list my gigs on Giglist.com?! A. Yes, yes, yes! It's free because we aim to provide a comprehensive guide to 'local' live music. If we were to start charging, many bands and venues would not list their gigs. Giglist.com is funded through advertising, events and sponsorship. Back to Top Q. What about my e-mail address? Is it safe to give to you? A. Yes! We understand our visitor's concerns about privacy and will never give or sell your e-mail address to anyone else. If you are submitting your band or venue's details, your e-mail address will appear with your contact details on your band or venue's details page - unless you would prefer it not to, in which case just tell us in the notes field and it won't be shown! Back to Top Q. How do bands win Giglist.com's 'Band Of The Month'? A. On every 'band details' page there is a link to vote for the band. At the end of each month votes are counted and the highest number of votes wins! If little or no information is available about a band, the band with the next highest number of votes may be given the award. So get your band details up-to-date, send us those reviews, send us a photo or logo and (last but definately not least!) tell your fans and groupies about the site - add the web-site address to your flyers, posters, etc. Back to Top Q. Is there a limit on the number of times I can vote? A. No - you can vote for as many bands as many times as you like. Back to Top Q. I occasionally get error messages when looking at different pages on the site. A. If you are having problems please contact us to let us know. Please describe the problem as fully as you can and include details such as your operating system, browser software and Internet Service Provider (ISP) to help us resolve the problem. Back to Top Q. Free Ads doesn't work when I try to register / log in. A. You must have a browser which allows JavaScript and Cookies, along with a current valid e-mail address (to receive your password). This service will shortly be included in the 'Members Area' - and the JavaScript will be removed to avoid these problems. Keep an eye on the Newsletter for that one! Back to Top Q. I registered with Free Ads but never received my password e-mail. A. Make sure you entered your e-mail address correctly and try again. If you are sure you have entered your e-mail address correctly it might be that your e-mail service is not receiving the mail immediately. Leave it an hour or so and then try collecting your mail again. If you entered your e-mail address correctly, and you are receiving e-mails properly, please read here. Back to Top Q. What can I advertise on FREE ADS? A. You can advertise just about anything music-related on Free Ads. You must of course keep it clean (eg. don't swear or be offensive) and don't break any trading / advertising laws. If you do you will be held responsible and liable for any action taken against you or Giglist.com Ltd as a result. All advertisements are reviewed individually and will be removed without notice if it is felt necessary. Giglist.com Ltd is in no way responsible for the accuracy of advertisements placed, and has no part in the sale or purchase of goods or services advertised using the Free Ads pages. Phew! Other than all that, feel free to use it until your heart is content. Back to Top Q. How long do ads stay on FREE ADS? A. 28 days from the day you last up-dated the advert. If you want the ad to continue appearing after that you must log in, 'edit' the add (you don't have to change anything, just go into the edit option) and click update. The 28 days is restarted from then! Back to Top Q. Can I change my newsletter options? A. Yes - simply re-subscribe to the newsletter with your new options checked or unchecked as you want them. If you are already subscribed with the same e-mail address our system will automatically locate your current options and update them. Each e-mail address on our mailing list can only receive one copy of each newsletter. Back to Top Q. Do you sell or reveal e-mail addresses to anyone else? A. No - we will not reveal or sell e-mail addresses or other information about our visitors or subscribers to anyone else.
